Playbill Marks Seventeen Debut

Playbill, in their “on this date” column, marks the anniversary of the opening of Seventeen on Broadway. From their site:

1918 Seventeen, adapted from Booth Tarkington’s novel by Stanislaus Stange and Stannard Mears, expounds on the world of American teens. Ruth Gordon and Paul Kelly are in the cast.

Movie fans in the modern era might remember Ruth Gordon from Harold and Maude (1971). She made her film debut as an extra in 1915’s The Whirl of Life.
