Robocall: A Monologue

A poem begins in delight and ends in wisdom. ~Robert Frost

This is usually the part
where the caller speaks.

If you would care not to speak,
I can certainly understand why.
But if that is the case, I suggest
that you simply opt not to call.

Another good recommendation
for those who wish not to speak
is to remain at home for the day
and see no one. Do not have pets.

To continue not speaking, please press 2.
Para silencio en espaƱol, marque nieve.

About Greg Wright

I have worn many hats as a writer and editor over the years. Unlike my scholarly and journalistic work from the "old days" at Hollywood Jesus, Past the Popcorn, or SeaTac Blog, the writing here is of a more overtly personal and spiritual nature. I hope it provokes you as much as it provokes me.
