About the Bread of Life

If I follow God just because he works miracles, what will I do when the miracles stop?

What matters most is not how God meets our needs, but that God meets our needs. Being safe in the boat is more important than having walked on the water to get there; a full belly doesn’t care if it was filled by miracle bread or by a store-bought loaf.

What we need to desire, spiritually, is being filled… not binging on miracles.

And miracles that still leave you empty are worthless. Whatever fills and satisfies our spiritual hunger: this is True Bread, what we should pursue and cherish.

About Greg Wright

I have worn many hats as a writer and editor over the years. Unlike my scholarly and journalistic work from the "old days" at Hollywood Jesus, Past the Popcorn, or SeaTac Blog, the writing here is of a more overtly personal and spiritual nature. I hope it provokes you as much as it provokes me.
